I had so much fun with A and C during their session! They are such a cute couple! They even brought along Presley the dog and boy was he a great sport. If you mentioned the word “ball” he would perk up and turn his head…too funny. I enjoyed seeing Miss A again…I had taken some family portraits of her and her family two years ago. Here is a sneak peek of their love and laughter filled session.

I had a wonderful time with this family this morning during their session. Dad returned just seven days ago from an 8 month deployment to Iraq. They are based in Germany but Mom and son came here to be with her family while he was deployed. You could just see the love that these two parents have for each other and their son. I am humbled thinking about the sacrifices that they and all military families make for our freedom.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding vow renewal ceremony for the Mr. and Mrs. “G”. I enjoyed meeting everyone and their sons were just too cute in their little suits! The ceremony took place at the gorgeous St. Williams Catholic Church here in Round Rock. Afterward, we headed down to the popular spot along Brushy Creek to do some family portraits. It was so hot out but everyone did great and soldiered through. It was so neat to be a witness to a beautiful renewal of love, faith and commitment.

And here is one that I just had to include. The church was stunning inside. Very peaceful, serene and breathtaking.

Yesterday I did a family session with Miss “K” (see previous post), her Dad and brother. They were so much fun and all three of them were such naturals in front of the camera. We did the session along the banks of beautiful Brushy Creek here in Round Rock. I just love this spot and all of the neat aspects of it. Here are a few from yesterday…

This afternoon I had a really fun senior portrait session in downtown Austin.Â We were a bit dissapointed to find that the wind was blowing pretty hard and I thought it was going to be a tricky shoot. Luckily I found several good spots out of the wind and was able to get some fantastic, fun shots. Miss K is so spunky and outgoing and was a complete natural in front of the camera, she made my job so easy!

Today was a gorgeous day here in Central Texas….96 degrees nice to be exact. I LIVE for this time of year. Here are a few photos I took at sunset tonight as the family was hanging out in the backyard after dinner. I cannot wait till summer is officially here!

Today’s afternoon session was very special to me and I was so happy to have been able to do these.Â A few days ago I found out that my cousin and her little boy were going to be in town from Nashville. Her Mom and Dad also had come in from Houston, although her Dad had to go back, her Mom was still here so I got to catch up with her too. I haven’t seen them since my wedding ten years ago! We have kept in contact however through our blogs, email and Facebook. Thank goodness for the web! We had to fight the brisk wind to get these portraits done but it was so worth it! Baby “N” is so precious and I loved watching his curiosity with everything around him. He is already a typical boy and took joy in the simple things like rocks and sticks. I am so glad I got to see them and only hope it’s not another ten years before I see them again. Happy First Birthday sweet boy!

She is the one who did the wonderful portraits of my husband and I for our tenth wedding anniversary in March. She is due in just a few short weeks with a baby girl. I have decided to do something new and fun on a weekly basis, thanks to Matt Kloskowski over at Photoshop User Tv. This week he showed a tutorial on how to easily build a photo collage. I have always done it the hard way but this way is super fast and easy! I am having so much fun building different collages in Photoshop, that I though that I would put together a weekly photo collage of some of the photos I have taken over the last couple of years. They will all have a theme such as a common color or place. To start it off this week I chose the theme of “Red”

My son Brady turned 8 on Monday, March 2nd. I took him out to the downtown area of Round Rock to shoot some portraits of him. We had a blast hanging out and he even brought his camera along to take pics of nature and “cool things” when we were done. My husband and I are just so proud of the young man he is becoming.
