{ Happy Birthday Baby “N” }

Today’s afternoon session was very special to me and I was so happy to have been able to do these.  A few days ago I found out that my cousin and her little boy were going to be in town from Nashville. Her Mom and Dad also had come in from Houston, although her Dad had to go back, her Mom was still here so I got to catch up with her too. I haven’t seen them since my wedding ten years ago! We have kept in contact however through our blogs, email and Facebook. Thank goodness for the web! We had to fight the brisk wind to get these portraits done but it was so worth it! Baby “N” is so precious and I loved watching his curiosity with everything around him. He is already a typical boy and took joy in the simple things like rocks and sticks. I am so glad I got to see them and only hope it’s not another ten years before I see them again. Happy First Birthday sweet boy!

{ And Baby Makes…6! }

This morning I had the pleasure of doing some maternity portraits for my friend Kristen and her family. Our sons are in school together and we met Kindergarten year. She is the one who did the wonderful portraits of my husband and I for our tenth wedding anniversary in March. She is due in just a few short weeks with a baby girl. Here are a few from their early morning session…

Love these, especially the umbrella shot and the way their toes are touching in it.

{ An Old Friend }

Tuesday I met up with my old friend Karen, her husband Ray and their two precious little girls. After reconnecting recently on a social networking website, we realized that she lives just down the street from my grandparents house. Such a small world! I have known her since we were in middle school and we all three graduated high school together. This shoot was so much fun for me because I got to catch up with her and get to shoot portraits on my family’s farm land. They are an adorable family and you could defintely see the genuine love they had for their girls and each other. Thank you Karen and Ray for a wonderful session! Oh, and I hope you remembered to give Miss R her scooby-doo popsicle for being such a good sport!:)

Here is your sneak peek…….

Kristin was an awesome photographer! She catered to our family with patience and creativity! Our shy little 3 year old quickly warmed up to Kristin resulting in some precious moments captured on film =) We hope to see Krisitn again for more portraits in the summertime!

{ The Joyous Miss J }

I had the best time with this awesome senior girl and her family! Her dad and step-mom were so sweet and helped me out a ton with my kiddos while I was busy shooting. My husband was out of town and I had to bring them along. Miss J is so photogenic and such a natural in front of the camera, it made my job so easy. We also did some shots of her with her little sister and her boyfriend. I enjoyed my time with all of them so much! Here are a few pictures from her session.
